WHAT KIND OF VISA DO I NEED IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO DO MY INTERNSHIP LEGALLY?
Keep in mind that we do not process visa and we are not responsible for its denial or approval. We will help you as much as we can to provide the internship letter and invitation letter from the company.
WHO WILL ASSIST ME DURING THE VISA PROCESS?
We are not able to process the visa for you, but we will assist you with all the papers that you may need such as internship offer, invitation letter or others regarding your stay in the destination you choose.
WILL I GET ASSISTANCE IN FINDING A PLACE TO LIVE?
It depends on the destination you choose. Hospitality internships usually offer the hotel’s dorms for you to stay. In the case of business internships, we will help you find a place close to the company where you’ll be doing the internship.
I DON'T HAVE ANY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, AM I STILL ELIGIBLE FOR THE PROGRAM?
Yes you are eligible. This is what internships are for. To learn. Keep in mind that this will give you an apprentice position and your process might take longer.
IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITIES OF WORK ABSORPTION AFTER THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM?
Turning an internship into a full time job is up to you and your development in the project or position you are in. We encourage you to talk about this with your direct supervisor once your internship is coming to an end. We do not guarantee this will happen in any case, as the possibilities of work absorption will depend on your performance.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DONT LIKE THE OFFER SENT TO ME?
Before anything goes wrong, we ask you to give us 2 main positions for your placement to make sure we’re looking for the correct offer for you. If even after this you don’t like the offer, we ask for 3 main reasons of why you dislike it and if the reasons are valid, (E.G. University credits, specific projects) and give you a second offer. If you dislike the second offer again, the same process takes place, only this time we reconsider your eligibility in the program.
WHEN AND HOW DOES THE INTERVIEW PROCESS WITH THE COMPANY WORKS?
If the interview is through Skype, use your webcam and dress up in formal clothes.
Make a brief research about the company, its industry, services or products. Try to talk about their field or give examples related to their business, let them know that you are prepared for the interview.
Make yourself more familiar to what they are looking for in a candidate. For example, a marketing manager is familiar with terms such as market research, online marketing, advertisement, return of investment, performance indicators, sales, net income, niche market…
Be honest all the time. It’s not the first time the interviewer does something like this and he/she has experience and can easily recognize a truth or a lie.
Ask as many questions as you can. This is the moment where you will have to get all the information about the company. Pay close attention to activities, working hours and other details of the offer.
WHAT OTHER EXPENSES SHOULD I CONSIDER FOR MY INTERNSHIP BESIDES THE ENROLLMENT AND PLACEMENT FEE?
HOW MANY HOURS WILL I HAVE TO WORK DURING MY INTERNSHIP?
Hospitality internships require an average of 48 hours a week with 1 day off. Please consider that you may be working extra hours if the company or hotels requires it.
CAN I STAY WITH A RELATIVE DURING MY INTERNSHIP?
We do not recommend that you live with relatives/friends during the internship. Visa processing will be compromised, and we do not want the Country of your choice to negatively consider the sole purpose of your internship.
CAN WE TRAVEL DURING OUR SPARE TIME WITHIN THE INTERNSHIP LENGHT?
It is part of the Golden Rule to not recommend or allow Interns to travel during their Internship. The reason why is we do not want to compromise your security as you will be in a foreigh country.
